The HOTEL LA LOCANDA is situated in the historical centre of the town. We are in proximity to the Amphitheatre Romano and to the “Porta Fiorentina”. Our Hotel is new and has been converted from an ancient Monastery of Nuns.

San Lino

Hotel San Lino is a renovated 15th century convent rich in charm and fascinating history, situated within the medieval wall which surrounds the city of Volterra. The first extensive renovation was completed around 1982 and since then further modifications have taken place for the installation of essential modern day comforts. The utmost care has been taken to maintain the atmosphere of this historical building to which it was originally destined right from the first stone, which was laid in 1480. Therefore the bedrooms have been created from the original nuns' sleeping quarters.

Antique building which turned into an Hotel in 1890, it is located in the city-centre at only 50 metres from the wonderful Piazza dei Priori. From its position, our guests can reach in a few minutes on foot the Etruscan Museum, the Roman Theatre, the picture-gallery, the famous Porta all’Arco and all the splendid works that Volterra offers to its visitors.
